Schmittner 2nd in Nationals

Photo of Philipp Schmittner holding his BPA awardOHHS sophomore Philipp Schmittner competed in Advanced Spreadsheets at the BPA National Leadership Conference in Anaheim, California. Philipp placed second out of forty-eight students from across twenty-five states. He also earned an Ambassador Torch Award, which promotes professionalism and leadership in both career development and person growth. To earn this award, Philipp had to earn and document over 490 Torch points in seven categories which included Patriotism, Leadership, Cooperation, Knowledge, Friendship, Service, and Love, Hope, and Faith.   May 2023

Lodwick Creates Portrait

Photo of Angie Richards and Brianna LodwickThe Memory Project has high school students and teachers create portraits for children around the world who have faced substantial challenges. It is thought to be a way to promote intercultural understanding and kindness around the world. This year the portraits have been sent to Nigeria. This is Brianna Lodwick's second year participating in this project. The Memory Project was recognized during the closing reception at The Visually Literate Show at Shawnee State's Appleton Gallery on May 16th. Pictured are OHHS art instructor Angie Richards and Brianna Lodwick at the April 2023 Board of Education meeting.

Smith's Art at SSU

Angie Richards Kylee SmithKylee Smith's art piece "Widow" was chosen to be displayed in the Visually Literate Art Show at Shawnee State University. The show was held at the Appleton Gallery with the closing reception and awards presentation May 16th.
