Krav Maga at Active Acorns

krav1 oct17The Fall Session of the Active Acorns welcomed local Krav Maga instructor Scott King for a return visit. His presentation is always very popular with the students. At this session, the Acorns learned about Trick or Treat safety awareness tips, in addition to other self defense techniques. Kick Off of Active Acorns!

active oct17 2The Active Acorns Fall Team had its first meeting and welcomed special guest Dawn Richards, Community Health Nurse from Southern Ohio Medical Center. The students, as always, enjoyed Dawn’s presentation about healthier living. There are 87 students enrolled in the Active Acorns this year, with a Fall Team and a Winter Team to accommodate the volume of students. The Active Acorns activities are made possible by grants from Southern Ohio Medical Center and Holzer Health Systems.     October 2017
