2021 Gary W. Snyder Memorial Scholarship

The Gary W. Snyder Memorial Scholarship Program is an ongoing program available to graduating seniors attending high school in Jackson, Pike, Ross or Scioto County who are interested in pursuing higher education at Shawnee State University (SSU).                              

Under the program, a one-time scholarship in the amount of $1,000 will be awarded up to five students upon acceptance/enrollment at Shawnee State University. The scholarship money will be paid directly to Shawnee State University into the students' accounts.

Application Process:

1. Fill out the application   

2. Make sure to include all required attachments:

• official transcript 
• two letter of recommendation from teachers
• Student essay (no longer than one page, no smaller than 10 point font) This essay can provide background information on the student, describe any financial need, discuss educational goals, or otherwise give reason to the committee why this person should receive a scholarship.
