The second session of the OHES Active Acorns began on January 24, and Scott King taught the 38 members Krav Maga defense training. Scott’s presentation is always well received and very popular with the Acorns. Scott teaches Krav Maga at the YMCA, as well as conducts seminars at area schools and churches. We appreciate his enthusiasm for the Active Acorns Club!
Mitchell Hale has been selected as a winner of the Adena Athlete of the Month award for January 2018.
The Adena Sports Medicine Team, in conjunction with the Adena Health Foundation, sponsors the Athlete of the Month program which seeks to recognize student athletes who have made a considerable effort to maintain a higher grade point average, community service, and also reach high levels of athletic accomplishment.
The OHES Active Acorns Club welcomed Carina Dickens from the OSU Extention Center to its December meeting. Carina taught the Acorns about healthy eating habits, as well as easy exercises to do to increase physical activity. The members really enjoyed her presentation.
