Honors Band Participants
Students from the Oak Hill Band participated in the 78th annual Scioto County Honors Music Festival held at Shawnee State University in Portsmouth, Ohio on March 2-3, 2020. These students were a part of the Middle School and High School Honors Band.
Oak Hill Music Honored
Oak Hill Union Local School District has been honored with the Best Communities for Music Education designation from the NAMM Foundation for its outstanding commitment to music education. Oak Hill joins 754 districts across the country in receiving the prestigious award in 2020. This is the fifth consecutive year Oak Hill has been recognized for demonstrating outstanding achievement in efforts to provide music access and education to all students.

Active Acorns Keep Fit
The Winter 2020 Active Acorns Team enjoyed their presentation of “Pound Fitness” by local YMCA instructors Michele Turner and Tishina Harris. Active Acorns Learn Self Defense
The 2020 Active Acorns Winter Team welcomed one of its very favorite presenters, Scott King, to the February 19th meeting. The students enjoy learning Krav Maga, which is a terrific self-defense program for the students to know in today’s world. Scott not only taught them useful techniques, but also got the Acorns up and moving. The Active Acorns Club is sponsored by the Jackson County Health Department and Holzer Health Systems. '20-'21 Cheer Teams
Congratulations to the following girls for making the 2020-2021 Varsity Cheer Team: Riley Adkins, Kennedie Blevins, Brynna Boggs, Maddy Conley, Jessica Sexton, Alyssa Taylor, Abby Donley, Abby Hanning, and Jordan Howard. Solo and Ensemble
Twenty-nine Oak Hill Band and Choir students participated in Solo and Ensemble at Gallia Academy High School. Students performed for a judge and received a rating. Oak Hill students received 19 Superior Ratings (top rating), 9 Excellent Ratings (2nd rating) and 1 Festival Performance. Congratulations to these students!! February 15, 2020
