Congratulations to the Oak Hill High School Bass Fishing Team for winning the 2018 Ohio High School State Championship held at Alum Creek. The team of Mitchell Hale and Keaton Potter finished first and are State Champions.

Mr. Randy Layton, Principal of Oak Hill High School, has announced the honor graduates for the Class of 2018. The valedictorians of this year’s graduating class are Mr. Cole Hanning, Ms. Morgan Hubbard, Mr. Daniel Stewart, and Ms. Bailey Ward, and the salutatorian is Mr. Mitchell Hale. Oak Hill Seniors graduated Friday, May 18, 2018.

The 2017-2018 edition of the Active Acorns concluded their year with a joint event with the OAKS Afterschool Program, which featured Southern Ohio Medical Center’s Community Wellness Nurse Dawn Richards, RN. Forty parents and over 100 students attended the event which focused on healthier eating, physical activity, and relaxation techniques for students and their families. Door prizes and snacks were provided, and afterwards, a vendor fair was available from local community providers. April 2018
Oak Hill Union Local Schools has been honored with the Best Communities for Music Education designation from the NAMM Foundation for its outstanding commitment to music education. Oak Hill joins 583 districts across the country in receiving the prestigious award in 2018. This is the third consecutive year Oak Hill has been recognized for demonstrating outstanding achievement in efforts to provide music access and education to all students.
