2027-2028 Burger King (BK) Scholarships

The Burger King Scholars Program is a signature initiative managed by the Burger King Foundation in memory of company co-founder James W. McLamore. It awards post-secondary financial assistance ranging from $1,000 to $60,000 to graduating high school seniors, Burger King employees, and their families across North America to help cover costs for two- or four-year colleges, universities, or vocational-technical institutions.

Award Range $1,000 to $60,000
Current Application Deadline December 15, 2026 (or capped at 30,000 applications)
Minimum GPA Requirement 2.0 cumulative

Key Application Strategy & Criteria

  • No Employment Required: You do not need to work at Burger King or have a family member employed by the company to apply as a general high school senior.
  • The Application Cap: The program enforces a strict submission ceiling and closes early once it receives 30,000 applications, making an early submission critical.
  • Holistic Evaluation: Selection is not solely based on grades; the review committee weighs academic achievement, work experience, extracurriculars, community service, and demonstrated financial need. Instagram +3
