About the Scholarships

OAASFEP scholarships, $1000 each (3 awarded) and the Dr. Everett Mann $2500 for candidates enrolling in education major programs (1 awarded)
Dr. Everett C. Mann served on the OAASFEP board in various capacities, including President, since its earliest beginnings. He provided leadership and was a great source of knowledge and skills in administering Federal and State programs in Ohio. He worked with DPPF, Vocational Ed, School Counselors, Title I, Special Education, etc. and was able to have an understanding of how these various programs could fit together. He also taught education courses at Indiana University and business and education courses at Miami University. Dr. Mann also served as Ohio’s state representative to NAFEPA for many years. Through his role as our representative, Ohio had a voice at the table on issues that affected the allocation and management of our federal funding. He organized visits to the Hill when we attended the NAFEPA conference. This opened up doors of communication with Ohio’s Congressmen in both the House and the Senate. Dr. Mann had a very positive influence on OAASFEP members and consequently the students we serve.
