Mr. Randy Layton, Principal of Oak Hill High School, has announced the honor graduates for the Class of 2019. The valedictorians of this year’s graduating class are Ms. Katie Johnson, Ms. Tomi Kelly, Ms. Baleigh McNerlin, and the salutatorian is Mr. Noah Cooper. Oak Hill Seniors graduated on Friday, May 17th.

katie johnson19Katie C. Johnson is the daughter of Steven and Cindy Johnson.  Her school activities are Marching Band, Concert Band, Jazz Band, Tri-M Music Honor Society, National Honor Society, and Band Council.  She is also a member of I Believe Foundation, Hugh O’Brien Youth Leadership, and volunteers at Oak Hill Senior Center.  Ms. Johnson will be attending The Ohio State University with plans in Political Science, ROTC for Marines.

 

tomi kelly19Tomi is the daughter of Jeff and Beth Kelly.  Her school activities are National Honor Society (treasurer), FFA, Growing Oaks, Quiz Bowl, and Lady Oaks Basketball Team Coordinator. She is also involved in the Elevate Youth Group and I Believe Foundation.  Ms. Kelly plans to attend Wright State University and major in English Education.

 

 baleigh mcnerlin19Baleigh is the daughter of Tom and Stacy McNerlin.  Her school activities are Varsity Cheerleader, Varsity Softball, Hi-Q, Yearbook Staff, National Honor Society (president).  She is also involved in travel softball (SWAT’00), volunteers for Special Olympics and Growing Oaks.  Ms. McNerlin will be attending Ohio University to pursue a degree in AYA Integrated Language Arts Education.

 

   noah cooper19Noah is the son of James and Alice Cooper.  His school activities are Business Professionals of America, Business Professionals of America Council, National Honor Society, BPA Torch Awards Committee, Atomic Credit Union’s Student Run Credit Union, Student Council.  He also volunteers for Red Cross blood drives, Hope Haven Volunteer, Registered Poll Worker, and Special Olympics Volunteer. Mr. Cooper will attend Ohio University for a degree in Physical Therapy, therefore being able to open his own Physical Therapy practice.
