Sixth grade student Hallee Kisor and eighth grade student Hayleigh Travis were recognized by the Board of Education for their efforts in the Elk's "What the Pledge of Allegiance Means to Me" essay contest.

Each girl was in the top three for their grade level, with over 200 entries.  Their essays have been sent on to District level competition.  The girls will be honored at a banquet March 18 and at that time will find out how they placed at the district level.
