Mr. Randy Layton, Principal of Oak Hill High School, has announced the honor graduates for the Class of 2014.  The valedictorians of this year’s graduating class are Ms. Leanna Adkins, Ms. Kelsey Hoskins, and Mr. Shane Woolum.  The salutatorian is Mr. Mason Waugh.

leanna14Ms. Leanna Adkins is the daughter of Ched and Stacy Adkins.  Her school activities include Captain of the Varsity Girls Basketball, Captain of the Varsity Volleyball, Captain of the Varsity Cross Country, and Varsity Cheerleader. She is also National Honor Society Secretary, Hi-Q Team, Science Club President, and Senior Class Secretary.  Leanna has helped with the food pantry, Bible school, and volunteered at the elementary school.  Ms. Adkins will be majoring in chemistry at Ohio University and then attend The Ohio State University’s College of Dentistry.  Leanna hopes to open her own practice and provide dental education and care to all community members.

 

kelsey 14Ms. Kelsey Hoskins is the daughter of Penny Schreck and Tommy Hoskins.  Her school activities include National Honor Society, Spanish Club, Debate Club, Track, and Cross Country.  Kelsey is also in the Key Club.  Ms. Hoskins plans on attending Ohio University as a pre-medicine major.

 

shane14Mr. Shane Allen Woolum is the son of Lisa and Allen Woolum.  His school activities include National Honor Society, FFA, Band, Choir, Drama Club, Pep Band, and Solo and Ensemble.  Shane is a member of Boy Scouts of America and Gallia Baptist Youth Group.  Mr. Woolum plans on attending Ohio University in the fall to pursue a degree in civil engineering.

 

mason14Mr. Mason Richard Waugh is the son of Richard and Wendi Waugh.  His school activities include National Honor Society President, High-Q, Debate Club, Business Professionals of America, Varsity Football-4 years and captain senior year, and President of class for 4 years.   Mr. Waugh plans on attending The Ohio State University and majoring in Political Science.
