Photo of Chief Petty Officer Cody Rochus and his wife AshleyOak Hill Elementary School would like to thank Cody Rochus and his wife, Ashley Rochus, for the presentation he gave about serving in the United States Coast Guard.

Chief Petty Officer Cody Rochus was born in Westerville, Ohio, Mrs. Ashley Rochus was born in Gallipolis, Ohio and they are both graduates of Oak Hill High School in the class of 2004.  Mrs. Rochus and Chief Rochus have been married since September 13th, 2008. They currently live in Saco, Maine with their nine year old Yellow Lab named Roxie Mae.

Chief Rochus enlisted in the Coast Guard on February 27th, 2007.  He is currently a Chief Operations Specialist.  During his 13 year career he has been stationed at: Training Center Cape May, Cape May, New Jersey ; OS “A” School Training Center Petaluma, Petaluma, California; USCGC RUSH homeported in Honolulu, Hawaii; Coast Guard Sector Ohio Valley in Louisville, Kentucky; USCGC HAMILTON in Charleston, South Carolina; USCGC MELLON in Seattle, Washington; and Sector Northern New England in South Portland, Maine.

Chief Rochus’s personal awards include four Coast Guard Achievement Medals with the operational distinguishing device, four Coast Guard Good Conduct Medals, three Commandant’s Letter of Commendation with the operational distinguishing device among other personal and unit awards. He has earned the Coast Guard permanent Cutterman insignia.
