Blankets to Holzer
In early 2011, Oak Hill FCCLA students participated in a caring project for pediatric patients. Inspired by fellow class member Rachelle French, Family and Consumer Science students enrolled in Career Search, chose to make blankets and donate them to children in hospitals. Susan Moore and Patti Hightower from Holzer Medical Center-Jackson accepted the hand tied blankets and small pillows for the hospital’s pediatric department. Ms. Hightower said, ”We will use these blankets with our patients. A blanket or pillow can be very soothing to a child or even an older patient in the hospital. We appreciate the FCCLA’s donation.”
