Oak Hill High School 2012 graduate, Dirk Dempsey (L) was awarded The American FFA Degree in recognition of his years of academic and professional excellence. Each year, the National FFA Organization honors FFA members who show the utmost dedication to the organization through their desire to develop their potential for premier leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education.

At their November 13, 2013 meeting, the OHES Active Acorns welcomed special guest Todd Crabtree from the Seishin Ryoku Aikido School. The students enjoyed Todd and his student's presentation very much. The Active Acorns Club is made possible by funds received from the NFL's Fuel Up To Play 60 grant OHES received this school year.

Ohio State vs Michigan Blood Battle Rages On -- Whether you bleed scarlet and gray or maize and blue, you can show your colors by donating blood during the annual Ohio State-Michigan Blood Battle with the American Red Cross each November. Since 1982, students and fans of the two schools have battled to take top honors in giving blood. The Blood Battle has grown into one of the largest blood competitions in the country with more than 2,500 donations given on each campus alone. The 2013 battle runs November 1-26, and OSU seeks to keep the trophy after beating Michigan last year.
