To commemorate Oak Hill Elementary achieving "Touchdown Status" for the 3rd consecutive year, the NFL's Fuel Up to Play 60 Program and the American Dairy Association selected OHES to receive a gift package from the Cincinnati Bengals. The package included FUTP60 hats, t-shirts, backpacks, a beach towel, as well as a football autographed by Bengals quarterback Andy Dalton and a Bengals jersey autographed by Bengals DE Michael Johnson. Pictured with the autographed items are OHES principal Randy Layton and OHES Nurse/FUTP60 Program Advisor Alicia Kamer. Great job OHE students and staff!

Oak Hill Elementary 2nd grade student Hayden Coon was selected as this year's winner of the Jackson-Vinton Farm Bureau Ag Experience Day t-shirt design contest. Hayden's design competed against t-shirt designs from all 2nd grade students in the Oak Hill Union, Jackson City, and Vinton County school districts. Pictured with a t-shirt showing Hayden's winning design is OHES Principal Randy Layton, Hayden Coon, and Hayden's 2nd grade teacher Dena Spriggs.

The OHES Active Acorns Fitness Club had its final meeting for the 2012-2013 school year at Central Park on May 8. The Club was made possible by the Fuel Up to Play 60 grant OHES received this year.

The Oak Hill High School Choir sang at the Jackson County National Day of Prayer event on Thursday, May 2, 2013 at the Memorial Building in Jackson. Choirs from Jackson High School and Sts. Peter & Paul School attended as well.
