Mr. Michael and Mrs. Cratree and Oak Hill Elementary would like to recognize four students who, during the 2013-2014 school year, created the winning artwork for the school-issued agendas for the 2014-2015 school year. Student artists were Ariana Smith (Grade 2), Aleah Filarski (Grade 2), Abby Donley (Grade 4), and Aydan Adkins (Grade 5).

Congratulations to Alexis Weese, a 5th grade student at OHES, who is the first student to reach the 25 days of walking milestone in the OHES "Walking Oaks Club." This club encourages students to walk at recess and at home to earn incentives. The club is sponsored by the Jackson County Health Department and Southern Ohio Medical Center.

Students were recognized at the September meeting of the Board of Education for their high scores on last year's OAA. Pictured (L-R) are Jakob Swann, OHHS Principal Randy Layton, Ethan Perry, and Bailee Reese. Not present, but also receiving high scores were Cameron Hendricks, Derick Miller, Tia Holbrook, and Haley Saxour.

Oak Hill performed at the 2nd Annual Jackson Band Show Saturday, September 20th. The Marching Oaks were accompanied by the Oak Hill Cheerleaders. Their performance was excellent. Anyone with any ties to Oak Hill should be proud of their performance.

The Class of 1965 is beginning preparation for 50-Year Grads for 2015. This is just a request for name, address and phone number at this time. We would like to make early plans so that you can plan vacation, etc. CHANGE OF Graduation will be on Friday, May 22, 2015 at which time the 50-Year Graduates will be recognized. More details will be sent at a later time.
